Privacy noticeChildren's Deen is used by Islamic schools, madrasahs and hifz programs to run their teaching. Children under 13 use it, so we follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This page explains, in plain words, what we collect and what we do with it.

The information we hold about a child is entered by their school, or created by the child while using the service. That can include: name, class, attendance, Qur'an and hifz progress, homework and submissions, teacher notes, messages between the school and family, photos the school shares, and audio recordings of the child reciting.
Schools choose which features to switch on, so many schools hold much less than this.
COPPA allows a school to give consent for parents when an online service is used only for the school's educational purpose. Before any school can add pupil information, it must accept our school notice and authorize collection inside the platform. That notice explains what we collect, how we use it and who else can see it.
A school can review the information we hold about any pupil, delete it in the platform, ask us to delete it, or stop further collection by no longer using the service. School admins can also download a full copy of their school's data at any time.
If you are a parent and want to see or delete your child's information, please contact your child's school. The school holds the records and gave consent for you, so it is the fastest route. When a school asks us to act, we do so within 30 days.
If a school switches on recitation, a pupil can record themselves so a teacher can review their tajweed. These recordings are stored privately, separated by school and pupil, and only that pupil's teachers and family can play them. We never use them for voice recognition or AI training.
We use a small number of trusted providers, and each one only acts on our instructions:
Every school's information is walled off from every other school at the database level. Uploaded files are private and can only be opened through short-lived links. All information is encrypted when it travels over the internet and when it is stored. If a data breach ever happens, we will tell the affected school within 30 days of finding out, and sooner where we can.
If you ask for a free trial or a call, we keep the details you give us (such as your name, school, email and phone) so we can reply. We do not use advertising trackers on this website. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google can see your browser's IP address.
If we make an important change to how we handle children's information, we will tell schools before it takes effect.
